I had no real side effects from the endometrial ablation. I still have a period but it's a manageable period. No more 7 to 18 overnight pads in an hour and tampons were just a joke. But now I can wear a pad with a tampon that I change at most every 4 hours and most of the time the tampons actually work. I'm very happy with the results.

I called my boyfriend and was talking about how I'm anxious about getting the copper IUD inserted tomorrow. Of course you can! You’re really not supposed to use a cup if your IUD is less than 3-6 months old since they’re most prone to dislodge then. But you should always break the seal anyway. I have an IUD and use a cup and this is still a huge fear. I’ve had my IUD for 5 years so it’s, hopefully, not going anywhere.
